The nutmeg looks like a small pear, which when it is matured opens and shows the red flesh surrounding a naked seed, the nutmeg. Its flavor reminiscent of nutmeg but it is more delicate and gentler.
It is used in cooking in salads and as crunchy in creams and meats!
